Do I have to take the test to know my language level?
Yes, before registering it is important to take the free placement test to find out your current level.
How many weeks should I take depending on my current level?
You should first take the level assessment test before selecting the number of weeks, so you will know your current level and how much time you will need to do to reach the desired level.
How long will it take to see my progress with the language?
This will depend directly on the effort you put into the classes and the activities derived from them. We will accompany you throughout the process to achieve the best possible result.
Do your courses serve as a prerequisite for college entrance?
Our courses develop the necessary skills and competencies to take international exams, however Planeta Immiland Education has some agreements called Pathway with certain Colleges and Universities in Canada, so that through the Accelerated Pathway program students can enter directly to these listed institutions only by presenting their Advanced Certificate. The list of institutions is below:

Do online courses in English or general French help me to apply for visas?
The language courses will serve to have the necessary language knowledge that you may require in a migratory process via studies or work. In the French division we have the Mobilité Francophone program which with the certificate of successful completion of the program demonstrating a CLB5 language level, the student can apply for a work visa process under the Francophone Mobility program which dictates that if you have a CLB5 level of French + a job offer in any province except Quebec, you may be eligible to apply for a work visa and be exempt from the LMIA. Also, our English or General French programs prepare you to take international exams that are required as proof of knowledge for processes such as Express Entry or Permanent Residency.
Do Planeta Immiland courses help me to apply for a visa?
No, since the online English or French courses are not directly useful for immigration processes. However, they are useful to advance your current language level.
Do you offer a language pathway course?
Yes, our Accelerated Pathway program is an accelerated program specifically designed so that in a maximum of 9 months you can reach an advanced level of the language if you start from beginner and be able to apply to the institutions with which we have an agreement without presenting proof of the English language, only the certificate of Planeta Immiland Education.

What is the methodology of the class?
Classes will be completely live, with a maximum of 10 students per class. They are 100% participative, and at each level you will have an evaluation.
What learning materials will I receive?
You will receive the material in digital format and by email.
If I can't attend the class, can I make it up afterwards?
Yes, all your lessons will be recorded.
How many students enter a group class?
There will be a total of 8 to 10 students per class.
What do I do if I want to extend the time of my course?
You must contact the contact email address given in the login email.
Do the courses offer personalised tutoring?
No, at the moment the classes are in groups.
Can I register for a lower level than the one I have left in my placement test?
Yes, to proceed you can go to the section of Coursessection and select a lower level than the one you were originally assigned and complete your registration.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
What software and hardware do I need?
You don't need any special software, just good speakers and/or headphones, a stable internet connection and the best disposition.
Is it possible to change my timetable during my language course?
No, you can change your timetable once you have completed the level at which you started.
Is it possible to change the timetable once you have finished the level at which you have started?
Yes, please write to us at the email address: [email protected] one week before the end of the level in order to be able to change the timetable.

How should I pay for my course?
You must pay for the course in full and before the course starts.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY PAYMENT?

Once you have made your payment, you will receive an admission email containing all the essential details of your course. This email will include your letter of admission, refund policies, the date of the Orientation PartyOrientation Party date, the Student Onboarding Guidean informative tutorial and the academic calendar.

In addition, you will receive two emails with welcome modules. In them you will find all the information you need to start your classes properly.

Subsequently, the Wednesday before your classes start, you will receive by mail a link to your Orientation Party. Orientation Party through Google Meet.

Finally, after attending your orientation, during the Thursday and Friday prior to the start of your classes, you will receive a final email with a Class Code to join your Google Classroom.
⚠️ Disclaimer: It is important to note that in the event that the schedule you signed up for cannot open due to missing spots, we wait until the weekend to receive more registrations. Therefore, you may receive the last email a few days later, and the start of your course will be scheduled for the following business Monday.
DURATION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY
What is the duration of the courses?
We offer English courses in two modalities:
REGULAR
Intensity: 2 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
Schedule: 6:00 am to 8:00 am, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, or 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Duration: Possibility of completing a course in 8 weeks.
Ideal for: Those with additional daily commitments who wish to learn in a more leisurely fashion.
ACCELERATED PATHWAY PROGRAM
Intensity: 3 hours per day, Monday through Thursday.
Schedule: 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Duration: Possibility of completing a course in 6 weeks.
Ideal for: People looking to learn English intensively and quickly.
What is the teaching methodology?
We offer fully live, online courses that combine Task-Based and Portfolio-Based approaches to teaching, learning and assessing languages. With TBL (Task-Based Language Learning), we assess your language skills through practical and situational tasks. With PLBA (Portfolio-Based Language Assessment), you document your progress through a personalized portfolio in each course.

How does the evaluation system work?
First level of the course (40% of the final score):
Activities - 5% - 5%
Participation - 5%.

Oral Evaluation - 40%.
Written Evaluation - 40%.
Second level of the course (60% of the final score):

What happens if I don't pass my course?
Your teacher will inform you during the feedback session whether or not you have passed the course and will send an email to the administrative team to take care of the process. If you have already paid for a more advanced course and you do not pass, your access to the course will be restricted and you will have to repeat the level.
