Stages of learning

The next foundation for solid learning consists of two phases, each lasting four weeks.

Phase 1: Identity and basic communication (Weeks 1-4)

In the first four weeks, the main objective is to establish the speaker's identity and work environment .. That is:

  • Introductions and alphabet: you will learn how to introduce yourself and use spelling (spelling), an essential tool for confirming names and accurate information.

  • The present simple (I / you / we / they): This tense is used to describe routines and responsibilities. For example: "I work in the Sales Department."
  • Digital communication: Technical vocabulary is introduced to dictate email addresses and websites, differentiating symbols such as the dot and at sign.

Phase 2: Interaction and activity management (Weeks 5-8)

In the second half of the course, the focus shifts to task management and interaction with other departments or customers.

  • The present simple (he/she/it): you will learn to describe the activities of third parties, such as your supervisor or your company. Example: "The company develops mobile apps."

  • Logistics and technology: Topics such as order taking (ordering), the use of large numbers for budgets, and technical instructions for the use of office equipment.

  • Time management: In the last week, students acquire the ability to organize meetings using months, dates, and time prepositions.

This level enables you to qualifies for roles such as administrative assistant, receptionist, or initial technical support, with functions that require precision in data and handling typical office routines.

Demonstrating these skills assures a recruiter that you have the communication skills and ability to complement the bilingual work team.

Glossary of common office terms

To facilitate understanding of the lessons and multimedia content (films and videos), it is essential to master these terms:

  • Meeting: Meeting. (Central focus of office communication).

  • Schedule or agenda: Schedule. (Used to plan activities).

  • Request: Request. (Used to request information or services).

  • Available: Available. (Key adjective to confirm attendance).

  • Deadline: Deadline (The date by which a task must be completed).

Practical application: propose actions

One of the most useful structures for beginners is the use of "Let's" (contraction of Let us). It is used to invite others to perform a joint action in a direct and simple way. For example:
